King of Fruits!

Normally when we travel, what would be on our list? I've circulate this question around and basically the answer that I will get is a typical one which is of course places to visit, experience new culture and becoming food tester.

Becoming a food tester is not a new things. In almost every corner of the world we can taste different kind of cuisine due to the growth of foreign restaurants. That means no need to go to other countries still we can taste their cuisine. I knew some may disagree with me, tasting a cuisine from its origin is better as the cuisine taste is more authentic.

However, have you ever think about something else when you go travel, such as the taste of their local fruits?.For example in India, they were proud with a native fruit named "bael", while Thailand were widely known as  mango biggest plantation. I agree sometimes we can taste foreign fruits too as some countries export their local fruit worldwide but the cost for the fruit would be higher.

Anyway I'm not going to talk about those fruit but I will talk about my most proudly fruit which is "Durian". In South East Asia, Durian also known as King of Fruits. Durian can be in oblong or round shape, the husk of Durian normally in green to brown color. Durian flesh have distinctive odour which is a strong and penetrating stomach-churning odour.

Even though Durian have distinctive odour, the color of Durian flesh never fail to attract me! Durian is a seasonal fruit so we only can eat Durian during its seasons.  These days, Durian season is on at my country so wherever you go you can see people selling Durian.  For those who plan to visit my country, you can plan your visit during Durian's season so you can taste it here. For travelers who is present  (at my country) now don't miss a chance to taste Durian. Even it have strong ordor the flesh is savory and mouth watering! Nom Nom Nom ^^~~

p/s: My niece enjoying Durian so much! (picture)
