Dear Readers,
Time flies really fast, It been 6 days since I'm back from my Umrah. Thinking about it make me missed Madinah and Makkah city so much! Some of my Non-Muslim friends ask me "why do you choose to go to Makkah, that place was pack with people and there are cases where people got trampled". My answer is it's my duty to experience at least half of requirement for 5 pillars of Islam (Hajj requirement), Yes, I'm still incapable to do Hajj, due to certain reasons; but at least I did Umrah once, and I pray that I can always go there to perform my Hajj in the future. One more things no matter where you go if God says its time for you to die, you going to die even if you going to empty place. No ones can help or stop the times for you.Cases people got trampled at Makkah is not an extraordinary cases, it happens lots of time in fact every single year, that's why normally before people go to Makkah normally they will asking for forgiveness in case they go there and not coming back.
Let's go back with my travelogue to Saudi Arabia, from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it took us around 5 to 6 hours to reach Bangladesh. Over there we transit for 10 hours. One thing that really annoyed me are mosquitoes everywhere even inside the plane!!! At first we were expected the airport would be at least nice, not grand enough compare to other place.Alas! when we saw it at the first time on my mind was " Ohhh My!! is this an international airport??? hmm seems like bus terminal to me though!" We have to wait for few hours to get our passport stamp, another thing I dislike about this airport, the bureaucracy!
Then they give us a list of our hotel, each hotel sent pick up vehicle service to move us. Again mosquitoes inside the van!! Ohh how really I hate them!! When we were on road, we got another culture shock, the traffic system is a NIGHTMARE!! At Bangladesh we couldn't find any single traffic light, people drove everywhere like crazy, it's like racing on the road! Trishaw also racing with each other and even with our big vehicle too. There is one time where the distance between our van and the bus is only 1 inch! All of us shouted as we were too scared!! Bangladeshi just laugh at us though! Hahah. Besides traffic system is chaotic, there are beggars on the road, kids were every where asking for money and they even didn't bother about their own safety!
After rest and having meals, its time to check out and jump into the flight again. This time we got a big flight compare when we coming to Bangladesh! Thank God!!! This flight was more comfortable with LCD Screen on each seat, so all the way I just played games and watched movies. We reached Jeddah at dawn, again here we faced bureaucracy, to get our passport stamp we need to wait for 3 hours?! At the times I get my passport stamp, me and my brother were shock to see an old couple was put in cuff by Police for illegal drug smuggling, poor them, at that time they were already in "Ihram clothes"! Then we ride on the bus from Jeddah to Madinah for another 6 hours. Since it was daylight, I enjoy the desert scenery and seeing 2 or 3 camels along way but I never get a chance to snap their pictures as they were too far! ㅠ ㅠ. While stopping at one of gas station, we decided to hunt for some bite. We went to a cafe and bought some cheese cake and fresh juice. Seeing desert while enjoying cheese cake what a pleasant experience! :)
We reached Madinah at noon, after check in. Me and my two brothers mingle around to get familar with the place. Then we prepared to go to the Prophet Muhammad's Mosque, named Nabawi Mosque. First time seeing it I was like "can't believe with my own eyes that I was there" I can't express it into words, how beautiful it is, how calm I was when I'm in there. I tried so hard with mom to complete my 5 daily prayer for a day inside the mosque yet I miss twice! :( Over there I always going out with my two brothers to buy something to bring back to my hometown. As I am looking like Arab, there is no problem for me to mingle around alone too plus I got discount whenever I enter shop premise! Hahah! ^_^ They didn't believe that I was Malaysian! They thought I was local! :P. We got a chance to go Raudhah twice but due to my asthma attack, I have to go back to hotel. At the end we got to see it on the last night when we were there, the place was very beautiful! and it was sweet scented! I got a chance to pray and I am glad I have it. Not every people get a chance to go inside Raudhah and able to pray as this place were full with people. Thanks to the two Turkish sisters for cordon me off so that I can pray. :)
Next we went to Makkah, it took us another 6 hours on bus. This time I was sleeping all the time as it was too dark (night). We reached Makkah around 11:00 p.m. After late dinner and take a rest for a while we were ready to perform our Umrah. Seeing Kaabah (Most sacred place for Muslim) for the first time makes me feel so tiny. I felt everything in between, feel wanna cry, feel honored to see it at my young age, feel thankful, felt embarrassed for my past sins, it's hard to describe it. Me and mom perform Umrah together, we circular around Kaabah for 7 rounds, after that we do Saie at Safa and Marwah, then we do tahlul (cut some or your hair). We finish our Umrah at dawn, so we just wait for Fajr prayer.
At Makkah, some of us struggle some test from God. Alhamdulillah I didn't get any serious test. One of my brother seeing a man was hit by 5 people at once. My mom was hit by the beggars. One of my room mate lost her phone and lots more. I once saw people fall off from the escalator at Makkah. It was very terrible! Owh while I'm at Madinah I saw 2 Korean guys, and again at Makkah I saw another 2 Korean guys at different time! I was like Oh my!! everywhere I go, I meet them. It's like a magnet! Hahahha. ^_^ Meeting them at the most least possibility country visited is such a priceless experience though. :)
After 3 days at Madinah and 9 days at Makkah, its time to go home. Bid farewell moment was the saddest ever moment I experienced in my life! I felt wanna cry but I can't. All I ask is some chances to come back to Madinah and Makkah in the future. I really love those two place. Hoping that I'm able to come there again in the future. ㅠ ㅠ
Taking flight from Jeddah to Bangladesh, inside the plane I felt trembling, too cold. I got fever, along way I can't sleep. I took so many pills yet still I can't endure the pain. Then again we have to transit at Bangladesh, thank God we don't need to wait for another 10 hours as earlier our flight was delayed. We need to wait at least 6 hours. As the weather was so cold, I put 3 layers however I still got sick. Finally its time to fly again, I thought everything going to be good this time but I was wrong.I experienced the most terrible part! While check in, the custom took away my medicine (hot oil), they even want to take my turbo haler. I explain to them that it was medicine and I need it, its my life support! Due to my condition (at that time) anything can happen, thank God at last they agreed not to take my turbo haler but they took my hot oil! Inside the plane I felt wanna die as suffering cold to much, I was trembling all the way from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur!. I even can't eat anything!
After long journey finally I touch down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 4:25 a.m. Alhamdulillah once I reached my asthma attack gone. :) We ride on bus for another 3 hours before I reached my sweet home! :D
